Shield

A game made for the final round of Pixel Game Maker Awards

Controls: (Explained in tutorial)

  • Click Yes or No on start menu
  • WASD or Arrow Keys to move
  • Hold Right Click to create a shield to defend yourself
  • Hold and release Left Click to throw a shield that damages enemies
  • TIP: Defending (Right Click) with your shield facing down and falling onto danger (such as spikes) will allow you to "pogo" off of it.

All levels are procedurally generated, so replaying will always give you a different Labyrinth to explore!

Story:

After The Invasion, the world has been left in shambles. You are a member of a band of scavengers fighting to survive. One day, word reaches you that a Shield Gauntlet, once used by the elite army that defended Earth, is being stored in an alien stronghold called The Labyrinth. As you were most suited to the job, you volunteered to retrieve the Gauntlet and bring it back, to give the survivors a hope of defeating the alien menace. Can you escape the Labyrinth with the Gauntlet alive?

This game was made for round 4 of Pixel Game Maker Awards (PGMA) Season 8.

peak game, but the what-seems-to-be-an-exit-portal doesn't let me interact with it (white and gray swirly thingy, i've explored every other room.)
